First day out and we all came up with our objectives for the holiday. The others in the group were trying to crack the carve gybe and I had decided to sort my 360's once and for all, after all I'd only been trying them for 8 years.

The hire gear was all North and Fanatic so I took the advice of Dan, the instructor, and opted for a North Disco 5.9 and the Fanatic Skate 112. The Skate took a little getting used to with such a tiny fin but a little subltety with the back foot and it was fine.

Concentrated on 360's once I'd got settled in with no success but it was early days. Good to be out sailing in shorts and a rash vest.
